Donor Advised Fund (DAF)
To make a contribution from your DAF, provide our tax ID number (EIN) to your financial institution and include North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic in the designation field. If possible, please also include your name and contact information. North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic’s EIN: 47-2859426.

Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, & Securities
NSLAC accepts stocks, bonds, and mutual funds from individual donors and corporations. Gifts of assets that have appreciated in value allow you to claim a charitable deduction for the full market value on the date the gift is made. You pay no capital gains tax on the appreciation.
In order for NSLAC to properly credit the gift, it is important that you or your broker notify the Philanthropy Team of the gift and its intended purpose. Please do so by calling 847-737-4042 or emailing philanthropy@nslegalaid.org. It is also important that you or your broker reference your name in the DTC transfer instructions. NSLAC’s banking information for transfers of securities is listed below.

Designate A Fund
NSLAC provides free legal services in the three practice areas of Immigration, Housing, and Domestic Violence. All services are provided at no cost to the clients in need. Donors can designate their gift for a specific fund on the donation page, or by providing notice on the memo line of the check.
