Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, & Securities
Would you like to give to North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic and also reduce your taxes for the 2022 tax year? By making a tax-smart planned gift, you can fulfill both your personal and philanthropic goals.
NSLAC accepts stocks, bonds, and mutual funds from individual donors and corporations. Compared with donating cash or selling your appreciated securities and contributing the after-tax proceeds, you may be able to increase your gift and your tax deduction.
Donate Individual Stock*
Donating individual stock may save you money as you avoid capital gains tax while deducting 100 percent of the value of the contribution.
Donate From an Individual Retirement Account*
When you donate from an individual retirement account, you may avoid paying income tax on your contribution. Plus, any contribution you make will allow you to take a full deduction and could be counted towards your minimum required distribution.
*North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic does not provide financial, tax, or legal advice on financial matters. To make the best financial decision that suits your own needs, you must conduct your own research and seek the advice of a licensed financial advisor, accountant, or attorney if necessary.
Even in these uncertain times, we appreciate that you may want to explore your options for supporting NSLAC. As you review these options, you may be surprised these can offer benefits to you too. Please be in touch and let us know how we can assist you.
Thank you for all that you do to ensure access to justice for those in need in suburban Cook County and throughout Lake County. Together we are helping our neighbors achieve productive and secure lives.
