June is Immigrant Heritage Month across the nation. June has been about sharing the stories of the immigrants that make America what it is today and supporting diversity in our nation. Every family has an immigration story or knows someone who is an immigrant. This Immigrant Heritage Month, we came together with the Highland Park Public Library, Highwood Public Library, and Community Center to host our 'Share Your Story' event. Through storytelling and recipe exchanges, we connected, learned, and appreciated the rich tapestry of human experiences.
