Intern at NSLAC

Interning at North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) is a great way of getting a comprehensive look into the non-profit and legal services world. We are committed to making sure interns leave with an understanding of how legal clinics are run and how they help surrounding communities. Interns will be given the opportunity to sit in on intakes, go to court, practice grant writing skills, research surrounding communities, and more.

Law Students

Applications for internships during the academic year are accepted on a rolling basis until the available spots are filled. Law students interested in interning at NSLAC should submit their resume with a cover letter to intern@nslegalaid.org. Please indicate your preference for a specific law practice—Domestic Violence, Housing, or Immigration—and any fluency in a non-English language.

Undergraduate Students

The application period for the 2024 Summer Undergraduate Program has now closed. We are no longer accepting undergraduate applicants for 2024.

We welcome undergraduate students to intern with us during their summer break. Applications for summer internship positions will be accepted between December 1st and February 28th, before the summer term. Interested undergraduate students should submit their resume with a statement of interest to intern@nslegalaid.org. Please indicate your preference for a specific law practice (Domestic Violence, Housing, or Immigration), any grant writing, communications or operations experience, and any fluency in a non-English language.
