The Client’s rejection notice noted that USCIS had denied her work permit, claiming she already had authorization on file. This was a mistake. The Client had no valid permit, and the denial threatened her ability to support herself while waiting for her asylum case to move forward. NSLAC stepped in. Thanks to their intervention, the Client’s work authorization was finally approved, giving her a chance to move forward with stability as her asylum case continues.
