Pro Bono Opportunity: Temporary Protected Status for Suburban Clients

Friday, March 8th: Pro Bono Opportunity: Temporary Protected Status for Suburban Clients

Our clients in the suburbs are getting special access to these clinics conducted in downtown Chicago. These clients have been previously housed in state-sponsored hotels and still need so much help to find their feet in the U.S. This unique opportunity will give our suburban clients access to expedited processing for their applications, allowing them to obtain work authorization much faster. With your help, we can help provide these vulnerable people with a measure of stability in their lives.

This clinic will be held in the Loop (address is available in the registration link; please do not share this address widely). Volunteers will prepare TPS and/or work authorization applications. No prior immigration experience is necessary; recorded training will be provided. This pro bono opportunity is open to attorneys, law clerks, and paralegals. Half-day shifts (8:30am-1:00pm or 12:30-5pm) and full-day shifts (8:30-5pm) are available. Please consider volunteering for a full day to help us serve as many clients as possible. A box lunch will be provided. A significant cohort of our NSLAC staff will also be working at the clinic on March 8th. They would love to meet you and thank you for your service.
