In 2015, North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) opened its doors with one staff member, one zip code, and a powerful mission: to provide free legal services to those in need. In our first year, we proudly served 84 clients. Eleven years later, NSLAC has supported more than 12,000 individuals and families across Lake County and the northern suburbs of Cook County in the areas of domestic violence, immigration, and housing law.
On April 29, 2026, we gathered with local leaders, members of the legal community, and longtime supporters for our 11th Anniversary Celebration, Lift Every Voice. The evening featured music, special performances, and a room full of people united by a shared commitment to justice and community.
