Our Partners

Corporate and Law Firm Partners

Through our Pro-Bono Partner Program, NSLAC collaborates with law firms and corporate legal departments to bring one-day legal clinics to those in need in the community. We currently focus our services on Power of Attorney (POA) for healthcare, property, and living wills. For our partners, we offer CLE training on those topics.

The goal of the program is to reach deep into the community and complement other nonprofit and public organizations’ services with legal assistance for their clients. The common settings where we organize the POA clinics are low-income senior centers, public libraries, schools, and social and human services organizations.

Beyond the POA clinics, the program is also a great opportunity for testing new ideas of combining the resources and knowledge of private practice law firms and corporations with public interest initiatives.

If your law firm, legal department, business, or not-for-profit/public organization is interested in working with us, we are happy to talk to you! Please contact NSLAC at Info@NSLegalAid.org

Government Partners

NSLAC values our partnership with elected and appointed officials in the communities that we serve. We work with officials at every level of government to provide a safety net of services that complement legal aid and provide education and advocacy.

We are pleased to provide relevant information related to policies and services available to share with constituents. We work directly with public safety and other staff to help connect those in need of access to justice with NSLAC and we lead education and advocacy presentations and workshops, and more.

If you are a local, state, or federal government official interested in working with us or seeking information or support, we welcome the opportunity to speak with you. Please contact NSLAC at Info@NSLegalAid.org.

Not-For-Profit Partners

Not-for-profit agencies create an essential social safety net for our communities. Low-income and at-risk individuals face an unprecedented assortment of obstacles. We know the value of learning from our partners, sharing research, and maximizing every dollar we invest in the people we help.

NSLAC is pleased to work with sister agencies to provide coordinated services, advocacy, and education. If your not-for-profit provides an essential service, we welcome the opportunity to explore the ways that we can work together. Please contact NSLAC at Info@NSLegalAid.org.
