President Trump has reinstated a controversial travel ban, restricting entry to the U.S. for citizens of 12 countries and placing heightened restrictions on 7 more. This policy, taking effect Monday, echoes the 2017 ban but comes with more advance notice and legal backing from the Supreme Court.
Countries banned include: Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.
Countries facing new restrictions include: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
