Our Client reached out to NSLAC for support with her immigration status. Given the years of abuse and extreme cruelty the Client was subjected to, NSLAC’s legal team was able to file an application under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA). NSLAC submitted the Client’s application along with evidence of their marriage and history of abuse, including police reports, medical reports, and her own statement. After three years, the Client’s application was approved, ensuring the safety and security of her immigration status.
