On Tuesday, June 11 from 12-1 pm, North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic (NSLAC) will host a free CLE presentation on Ethical Considerations in Pro Bono Practice. Pro bono Manager, Nicole Minnis, and Pro Bono Coordinator, Ian Turnipseed will be joined by Director of Domestic Violence Practice, Sally Steele. This free CLE presentation will discuss ethical quandaries that can arise in pro bono such as questions of competency and conflicts of interest, and how the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct help guide pro bono attorneys on navigating those issues. Senior Social Worker, Michelle Knipmeyer, will also be providing information on how to be trauma-informed when practicing with our clients.
This training will be conducted virtually over Microsoft Teams. One hour of Illinois Ethics CLE is pending approval.
