The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic is an organization dedicated to equal justice. Our mission, to provide access to legal services to those in need, reflects our shared values as a community and as a nation: one that stands together in solidarity to defend human dignity and promote the common good.
The wave of anti-Asian violence since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic is unconscionable. The rhetoric that enables and emboldens violence cannot be normalized, must not be tolerated and needs to stop. A gunman killed eight people at Atlanta-area spas, including six Asians, which is another urgent call to action that we must come together to stop the hate.
The North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic stands in support of the Asian community. Today we reiterate our commitment to the fundamental principle that all people are worthy of safety, security and protection without regard to race, religion, or country of origin.
